How do I download Looma?βΎ
Looma is available on the
App Store for iPhone and the
Google Play Store for Android. Search "Looma" or use the links on our homepage.
Is Looma free?βΎ
Yes β Looma is completely free to download and use. There are no subscriptions, no hidden fees, and no charges to join communities or connect with others.
What age do I need to be to use Looma?βΎ
Looma is for users aged 12 and older. Accounts found to belong to users under 12 will be removed. Parents are encouraged to supervise use for users under 18.
What are networks and how do I join one?βΎ
Networks are broad categories β like Sports, Family, or News β that shape what you see in Looma. After signing up, browse available networks and tap to join. Your network choices keep your feed focused and clutter-free.
What are Moments, Glimpses, and Discussions?βΎ
These are Looma's core content types. Moments are real-time updates you share with your communities. Glimpses are short visual posts. Discussions are topic-based conversations where community members can exchange ideas and debate. All three are designed for authentic sharing without algorithmic pressure.

How do I reset my password?βΎ
On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password" and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link shortly. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes.
How do I update my profile or notification settings?βΎ
Go to your profile icon β Settings. From there you can update your display name, photo, notification preferences, and privacy controls.
Why am I not receiving push notifications?βΎ
First check your device's notification permissions for Looma (device Settings β Notifications β Looma). Also check in-app notification settings under Profile β Settings β Notifications. If the issue persists, try signing out and back in.
How do I delete my account?βΎ
Go to Settings β Account β Delete Account. This is permanent and will remove all your content and data. If you need further help, contact us at

How do I join a community?βΎ
Browse communities within your chosen networks and tap to join. Some communities are open to anyone; others require approval from an admin. Once you're in, you can post, discuss, and connect with members.
How do I create a community?βΎ
Tap the + icon in the Communities tab, choose a network, add your community name, description, and photo, and set your membership rules (open or invite-only). You'll automatically become the admin.
Can I mute a community or conversation?βΎ
Yes β long press on any community or conversation and select Mute. You can choose to mute for 1 hour, 8 hours, 1 week, or indefinitely. You'll still be a member but won't receive notifications.
What types of communities can I create?βΎ
Looma is designed for all kinds of real-life groups β schools, sports teams, clubs, spiritual groups, families, creative circles, and more. Any group that benefits from a focused, private space to connect and coordinate is a great fit.

How do I report a user or piece of content?βΎ
Tap the three-dot menu on any post or profile and select Report. Choose a reason, add details, and submit. All reports are reviewed by our safety team. You can also email
safety@looma.social for urgent concerns.
How do I block someone?βΎ
Go to the user's profile β tap the three-dot menu β Block. Blocked users can no longer see your profile, message you, or interact with your content.
Does Looma sell my data?βΎ
No. Looma does not sell your personal data to third parties. Your data is used to provide and improve the app experience. You can read the full

How do I request or delete my personal data?βΎ

privacy@looma.social with your request. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time.

What is Looma Gives?βΎ
Looma Gives is our community giving program. 25% of all Looma profits are donated directly to charities, shelters, schools, and community organizations. It's funded by the ads you see in the app β every interaction contributes.

How does the NFC bracelet system work?βΎ
Partner shelters register individuals in need and assign them a unique NFC bracelet. Community members can tap to donate directly via a Stripe-integrated wallet in the app. Verified local merchants can also accept bracelet payments for essentials. Looma covers all production and distribution costs.

Fill out the
contact form and select "Looma Gives Support" as your topic. Include your organization name, a brief description of your work, and the type of support you're looking for. There's no fee, no catch, and no strings attached.
